Baby Memory Box

Baby Memory Box

One of the most beautiful things we’ve learned in the past year with our little one is how every tiny thing she touches becomes a treasure, simply because of the memories tied to it. From her first little outfit to her hospital wristband, her first beanie, and even the very first flower she picked just for us—each piece holds a story we never want to forget.

We imagine the friends we met through our antenatal class feel the same way, cherishing these fleeting moments just as much. So, we wanted to give them something special—a baby memory box.

It was important to us that the box be spacious enough to hold a collection of precious keepsakes but not so big that it would be difficult to keep over the years. And, of course, it had to be personalized, making it as unique and special as their beautiful little ones.

Process:

  1. Bringing the Vision to Life – We wanted our friends to have these beautiful boxes as soon as possible so they could start storing their treasured memories right away. To make that happen, we sought out a supplier who could provide heirloom-quality boxes—crafted to stand the test of time.
  2. Adding the Perfect Touch – When the boxes arrived, we saw an opportunity to make them even more special. A little extra care was needed—filling in tiny nail holes and smoothing the rough sawn wood.
  3. Infusing Them with Love – With the boxes polished and nearly ready, it was time for the most heartfelt touch. Nicole designed unique caricatures of each precious baby, and we laser-etched them along with their name and birth details.
  4. A Beautiful, Lasting Finish – After a final cleanup of the etching, we sealed each box with a few coats of Danish oil, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood, while leaving it with a long lasting durable finish.

Seeing how much everyone loved them filled our hearts. Hopefully, one day, these boxes will be a little time capsule for the children, a window into their earliest days, lovingly preserved by the people who adore them most.

Note: We're gearing up to design and create the box ourselves—stay tuned for Baby Memory Box 2!
